Family traditions and cultural expectations are examined in the light of the biblical text.
Marriage & Family
Rooted in Christ. Growing in love. Blessing others.
A Scripture-centered discipleship journey for marriages, parents, single adults, blended families, caregivers, and households seeking healthier communication, faithful relationships, practical wisdom, and a shared life shaped by Jesus.
This path does not present one family structure, season, or personality as the standard for everyone. It helps households follow Jesus through love, honesty, responsibility, boundaries, repentance, belonging, and service.
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Colossians 3:14The foundation
Family roles matter, but identity and worth begin with Christ.
Marriage and family life can carry joy, responsibility, grief, conflict, transition, and deep love. Some households include children. Others include a couple, one person, extended relatives, friends, caregivers, blended relationships, or people rebuilding after loss.
This journey teaches biblical convictions without idealizing one household shape or hiding harm. It makes room for singleness, marriage, parenting, infertility, divorce, widowhood, adoption, caregiving, blended families, and changing seasons.
How this journey teaches
Scripture, dignity, responsibility, and safety.
Every study joins biblical truth with practical discipleship and clear care for people in difficult or unsafe situations.
Love tells the truth, receives forgiveness, accepts consequences, and pursues real change.
Marriage and parenthood are honored without treating them as the measure of adult worth.
Leadership serves, listens, protects, accepts accountability, and refuses coercion.
Abuse, danger, trauma, and serious needs require qualified support and appropriate action.

- Immediate danger requires emergency and safety action.
- Abuse disclosures require church policy, applicable law, and qualified support.
- Forgiveness does not require silence, restored access, or remaining unsafe.
- Children and vulnerable adults must be protected.
- Pastoral care should work alongside legal, clinical, medical, and advocacy resources when needed.
